Finnish Peace Research Association is a politically independent scientific association. Founded in 1971, its goal is to advance research on peace, conflict, and world politics. Primarily, the association functions as a link between the scholars on this field in Finland.
The association publishes an academic journal called Kosmopolis: rauhan-, konfliktin-, ja maailmanpolitiikan tutkimuksen aikakauslehti. Other central activities include e.g. organizing public discussion events as well as funding peace work and peace research related trips of the members.
